No one does cosplay like Megan Thee Stallion. The rapper loves video games, comics, and anime, and often weaves references to her favorite characters into her music videos and awards show looks. Oh, and she’s also the queen of Hottieween, so to say we’ve been excited for her 2024 costume is an understatement. In true Megan fashion, she blew our minds with her costume, an ode to Teen Titans character Starfire.
Megan debuted the costume on Instagram with a dedicated post calling herself “Starfire Thee Stallion.” She wore a purple bodysuit just like the DC Comics character, and also paid homage to Starfire’s signature blazing red hair. Megan’s hairstylist Kellon Deryck went all out with the hair, installing an absolutely massive crimson red wig on the star and styling it in enormous ringlets that flowed all the way down her back, with two tiny curls on either side of her forehead. The hair was parted in the center with lots of lift at the roots, giving it an almost heart-shaped look.
Megan’s nails were also an ode to Starfire, with a translucent purple base shaped into sharp stiletto points and bedazzled with rhinestone-and-ruby decals on the center of each nail to mimic the jeweled medallions on the collar and waistline of her lavender bodysuit. Her skin was super glowy and dewy, with shimmery shadow on her lids and a delicate touch of gloss on her lips.
Halloween celebrations aren’t over yet; it’s only October 30, after all, and Megan is hosting her annual Hottieween party in Chicago on Halloween night, so it’s very likely that there are more costumes yet to be seen. (Never forget last year’s Alice in Wonderland rose!) Will Starfire make another appearance at the party, or does Megan have another pitch-perfect cosplay look in the works? Either way, if DC Comics decides to make a Teen Titans movie or TV show, we know exactly who should play Starfire.
