Megan Thee Stallion’s Nails Look Like Little Metallic Lava Lamps — See the Photos

When I saw Megan Thee Stallion’s latest manicure, visions of colorful, retro-inspired fashions and home trends swirled through my head—namely the iconic lava lamp.

If you grew up in the ‘90s like I did, you probably owned or coveted a lava lamp—the design had a comeback in the ‘90s-does-’70s era—and while Megan’s manicure doesn’t look exactly like that vintage décor, its combo of green and orange shades and circular shapes feels pretty groovy, baby.

Megan’s nails, which she showed off in a series of mirror selfies, are long and square-shaped with a metallic green duochrome shade at the base. Atop that shifting shade, oversized polka dots dance around, reminiscent of the big blobs of colorful liquid that moved around in a lava lamp, only more uniformly circular. The dots themselves also have a shifting color palette; as she moves her hands in the photos, they look orange, coral, and red, and even a little magenta.

The nails aren’t the only standout glam moment in the photo dump, either. In the pics, Megan wears a glimmering gold eye shadow and applies Dior Addict Lip Glow Oil in Coral, which just so happens to match the polka dots on her nails. (Don’t think we didn’t notice!) The rapper wears a massive diamond ring on each finger and her hair is styled long and curly, parted deeply to one side.

The “Boa” rapper, who is currently wrapping up her Hot Girl Summer tour in Europe, has been feeling chrome nails and orange tones lately. Nail-wise, she recently wore a stiletto-shaped set that transition from a deep plum to a greenish gold. We certainly can’t forget her bright orange hair and Pucci print two-piece set, which brought the ‘60s vibes in the best way. The Hot Girl Coach really doesn’t stop serving up the inspo, does she?
