Micah Parsons gives prediction on CeeDee Lamb’s contract dispute

For those Dallas Cowboys fans feeling a bit on edge about CeeDee Lamb’s contract holdout, Micah Parsons did his best to help ease those concerns.

In the eyes of the 25-year-old defensive star, it’s a no-brainer that Lamb will be on the field for the Cowboys in Week 1 against the Cleveland Browns, as Patrik Walker of the team’s official website revealed.

“Obviously, we miss him,” Parsons said. “He’s one of the best people you can have in a locker room. I’m pretty sure he’ll be here soon.”

The All-Pro then made it known that Lamb isn’t “going anywhere” and stated that there’s “no doubt” they’ll get his deal done.

“CeeDee is a part of this brotherhood whether he likes it or not,” said the three-time Pro Bowler on Tuesday. “He knows he’s not going anywhere. The business side, they’re gonna take care of it — no doubt about it.

“On Week 1, he will be suiting up for the Dallas Cowboys.”

While it’d be more assuring to hear these words from Jerry or Stephen Jones, fans will surely take any positivity surrounding Lamb’s holdout at this point.

The Cowboys’ 25-year-old pass-catcher has held out of training camp thus far while negotiating a new deal ahead of the upcoming season. Lamb is in the final year (a team option) of his rookie deal and is slated to make $17.991 million this year under his current contract.

Based on production alone, Lamb deserves to be in the conversation as one of the highest-paid wideouts in the NFL.

Over the past two seasons, he’s caught 242 passes for 3,108 yards and 21 touchdowns while tacking on two rushing scores for good measure. Lamb has been one of the most consistent and reliable pieces of the Dallas offense since being selected No. 17 overall in the 2020 NFL Draft. Statistically, his numbers have improved across the board in every category since his rookie year, culminating in a 2023 campaign in which he caught 135 passes for 1,749 yards and 12 touchdowns.

Week 1 is less than one month away, but even with the two sides at a standstill, it’d be somewhat of a shock if the Cowboys don’t make Lamb one of the highest-paid receivers and finalize the deal before the regular season.
