Emerging actor Mike Heslin has died at the age of 30 from an “unexpected cardiac event”, his husband has announced.
The New York-based actor and model spent a week in hospital before his death on July 2, according to musician Scotty Dynamo.
“My husband, best friend, and soulmate passed away from an unexpected cardiac event after a week long battle in the hospital,” he wrote on Instagram.

“Michael was young, in perfect health, and the doctors have no explanation for what happened.
“Michael was brilliant, selfless, talented, and a real-life guardian angel.”
Heslin acted in multiple episodes of TV shows The Influencers and Lioness, as well as the 2023 movie The Holiday Proposal Plan.
He was represented by Bella Agency as a model, while he and Dynamo have a significant following on social media platforms including TikTok.
In his tribute, Dynamo said Heslin “single-handedly carried me” through his battle with testicular cancer.
“He was the first person everyone would call to share good news with, and he was the perfect person to call if they needed a shoulder to lean on or the best advice,” he wrote.
“He truly was the sweetest, most caring, and loving man on earth, and he brought out the absolute best in everyone who had the pleasure to cross paths with him.
“He moved through life with such ease and confidence, and turned everyone around him into a better version of themselves.
“No matter how difficult things got, we knew that there was nothing we couldn’t overcome with Mike in our corner.”
He said his “heart shattered into a million pieces” when he “felt you take your last breath”.
“Michael, meeting you was the best thing to ever happen to me,” Dynamo said.
“You are my world. You are everything to me.”
