Véron will oversee leather goods (permanent and new collections), trunks, travel goods, accessories and special orders of Morabito. His appointment took effect on Monday, April 1.

“I’m delighted to be joining the wonderful House of Morabito, which is a legendary name for me and with which I share the values of craftsmanship and exceptional materials. I’m looking forward to working with some of Paris’s top luxury ateliers and offering new contemporary designs alongside the House’s icons, in the near future,” said Véron in a release.

A graduate of Paris fashion college Studio Berçot, Véron is probably more famous as a furrier, famed for using ancient techniques.

“Quentin Véron’s creativity and his knowledge of the most sophisticated luxury worlds will ensure the development of the famous House while bringing a fresh look at almost 120 years of history,” Morabito Paris added.

The house of Morabito Paris was founded in 1905 by Jean-Baptiste Morabito. Known for the finesse of his work as an artisan-jeweler, he quickly established himself as a specialist in precious materials, crafting objects like jewels. Specializing in hand- stitching in its Parisian workshops, the House won recognition over the decades as “the goldsmith of leather goods.”

Back in 1971, French First Lady Claude Pompidou gifted a crocodile Vendôme bag by Morabito to the Empress of Japan. While the house’s iconic Orsay travel back – named after the famed former train station – was beloved by Marilyn Monroe.

In addition to its private clientèle, the House can boast of clients such as Maria Callas, Edith Piaf and Catherine Deneuve.
