Motorbike rider dies after crash with bus in Kensington, Sydney

A motorcycle rider has died after he collided with a bus in Sydney’s east.

Police and paramedics were called to the intersection of Alison Rd and Doncaster Ave, Kensington at 3pm on Friday after reports of a crash involving a bus and motorbike.

Paramedics treated the rider at the scene, and he was taken to hospital in a critical condition.

The young man, believed to be in his 20s, later died.

The female bus driver, a 34-year-old, was not injured and taken to hospital for mandatory testing.

A report will be prepared for the coroner.

“A crime scene has been established and an investigation is underway into the circumstances surrounding this crash,” NSW Police said.

A number of road closures were in place due to the crash however most of the roads have re-opened.
