While spring has officially sprung, the weather still hasn’t quite made up its mind – one minute it’s glorious sunshine, the next it’s pelting down with rain.
Luckily, this is where Marks & Spencer’s new parka coat comes in handy, as it’s not only super stylish, but practical too. Priced at £69, the Cotton Rich Hooded Short Parka Coat is ideal for styling with your favourite spring looks whilst keeping you dry during an unexpected downpour.
In the past, waterproof parka coats at M&S have been known to sell out pretty quickly, so it’s worth grabbing one now whilst there’s still plenty of sizes available. It’s available in two colours; beige or black and available in a range of sizes from an extra small to an extra large, depending on what colour you opt for.
The coat boasts M&S’s water-repellent ‘Stormwear’ technology to keep you and your outfit underneath dry, while the hood is great for shielding your hair from the rain. It’s designed in a relaxed fit, with a warm funnel neck and a drawstring fastening at the waist to create a flattering shape.
It fastens with a neat button and zip, and is complete with two practical front pockets which are great for keeping your on-the-go essentials safe and dry.
While the coat only just launched online, it seems shoppers are snapping it up fast as two sizes have already sold out – so don’t wait around.
Some customers have even left five-star reviews on the M&S website, calling the parka ‘designer inspired’ and a ‘stylish wardrobe must-have.’
One delighted fan said: “This is a gorgeous jacket which looks great and is on trend. I receive so many compliments when wearing this. It’s such a good price as it looks more designer than high street.”
A second added: “I originally bought this in a small and it was rather large. I’m sure that’s the style of it. But nevertheless I luckily managed to get and XS in my local store. Really happy with it. I absolutely love the colour & after spending a couple of years wanting a mac but never making my mind up this is a really good buy that I will use time and time again. I love the length & hood. Just worn it for a couple of days in London and it really did stand up to the rain we had! Perfect!”
While a third wrote: “I love this parka – easily the most worn item in my wardrobe currently, especially with this unpredictable weather we’re having.”
Despite many people raving about the coat, some shoppers found the sizing a bit off, with one shopper saying: “This coat is huge! I like a loose fit but this is nearly double width – so order smaller.”
You can pick up the stunning £69 parka coat in either beige or black. If you’re after a slightly longer style, we’ve also spotted this Waterproof Longline Parka Coat for £99.
This North Face City Breeze Rain Parka is also a great choice for spring, and it’s been reduced to £150 from £190 in the JD sale.
