Nadia Dhouib Has Exited as General Manager of Rabanne Fashion House

Nadia Dhouib, general manager of the Rabanne fashion house, exited the role earlier this week, according to market sources.

The longtime Galeries Lafayette executive joined Rabanne in March 2022, reporting to Vincent Thilloy, chief brands officer for Paco Rabanne and Jean Paul Gaultier, which are both owned by Spanish fragrance and fashion group Puig.

Her next move could not immediately be learned.

Dhouib previously served as managing director of Galeries Lafayette Champs-Élysées and was the architect of the concept store’s strategy, designed to reflect the way people shop online. She had a 15-year career at Galeries Lafayette Group, including as a deputy buying director for many categories.

According to the same sources, Jean-Jacques Guével has stepped in on an interim basis at Rabanne to assist in the management transition.

Guével stepped down last March from his role as chief executive officer of Balmain, a position he held for four years. His resume also includes senior roles at Zadig & Voltaire, Celine, S.T. Dupont, Louis Vuitton and LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton’s fashion division.

Contacted on Friday, a spokesman for Rabanne declined all comment.

As reported, the house is aiming for global expansion on multiple fronts, having synced up its fashion and fragrance businesses and abbreviated its name from Paco Rabanne to Rabanne.

Last year, it launched a new visual identity, a playful makeup range, and disclosed plans to expand its retail footprint.

The house’s longtime fashion designer Julien Dossena has revved up Rabanne’s fashion credibility, reworked and clarified the brand’s key aesthetic codes, and recently made important inroads with celebrities by adding more eveningwear.

The brand also has been active on the fragrance front recently, signing singer Troye Sivan as Rabanne’s first global makeup brand ambassador, and model Gigi Hadid as ambassador for Rabanne’s new Million Gold for Her fragrance.
