New Delhi: Hassan Nasrallah, the Hezbollah chief since 1992, was killed on Friday, September 27 in an Israeli airstrike that targeted an underground bunker located over 60 feet underground in Beirut, Lebanon. The attack, carried out by the Israeli Air Force, resulted in the death of several senior Hezbollah officials alongside Nasrallah.
Among the assumptions and mystery around his killing, some insider reports suggest that a third country, apart from Lebanon and Israel, had collected detailed information about Nasrallah’s exact location and other vital details leading to the fatal blow to Hezbollah.
The insider reports claim that it was an Iranian infiltrator among the militant group who was passing on every detailed information to Israel. It is also being claimed that the same network of Israeli moles that enabled causing explosions in thousands of pagers, walkie-talkies, TV sets, and solar panels inside Lebanon. This cemented the fact that the Israeli intelligence network has penetrated deep inside Lebanon and Hezbollah.
According to French newspaper Le Parisien, an Iranian mole had informed Israel about the location of Nasrallah ahead of the strike. Nasrallah had been attending a meeting with several top members of the group when missiles stuck its underground headquarters in Beirut.
