NEET PG 2024 Exam Format
The NEET PG 2024 exam format has undergone a significant change, introducing a new structure that aims to enhance efficiency and fairness in the examination process.
As per the official announcement, the change will be brought in all its MCQ-based examinations such as NEET PG, NEET MDS, NEET SS, FMGE, DNB PDCET, GPAT, DPEE, FDST and FET which are conducted on a computer-based platform.
New Time-Bound Sections: The question paper for NEET PG 2024 will consist of multiple time-bound sections, each denoted by letters A, B, C, D, and E. Each section will contain 40 questions with 42 minutes allotted for completion.
Restrictions and Guidelines: Candidates must adhere to strict guidelines, such as completing the allotted time for each section before proceeding to the next. Once the time for a section elapses, candidates cannot review or modify their responses. The next section’s questions will automatically appear after the previous section’s time limit ends.
Implications: This new format aims to test candidates’ ability to manage time effectively and make decisions under pressure. It emphasizes the importance of strategic planning and quick thinking in a competitive exam environment.

Meanwhile, the board is denying false claims made by a Telegram channel titled “NEET-PG LEAKED MATERIAL” and cautions applicants of NEET PG to not get misled.
The exam will be held in two shifts in a mandatory section format, meaning candidates will be provided equal time for each section across the country. NEET PG is held to admit medical graduates into 52,000 postgraduation seats available in India.
Earlier the exam was scheduled to be conducted on June 23. However, it was later postponed a few hours before as a ‘precautionary measure’ due to irregularities surrounding the conduct of other competitive exams. This was the fourth time the exam date for the NEET PG 2024 changed. Initially, it was scheduled to be held on March 3, later postponed for July 7, and then again advanced to June 23 due to the general elections.
