Masaba Gupta married Satyadeep Misha last year after dating him for three years. The fashion designer turned actress was earlier married to producer Madhu Mantena. In an interview with Twinkle Khanna, she revealed that no one was more devastated than her mother Neena Gupta as she blamed herself for the divorce. Masaba was just 28 years old when she got married to Madhu.
Talking about her heartbroken mother who had encouraged her to get married, she said that it ended even before it could start.Masaba also revealed that she wanted to have a live-in with Madhu before getting married. Her mother told her that she had made the same mistake and that Masaba should not make this mistake. She also added that if Masaba was sure then she should just get married. She literally packed her things and then sent her over and the court marriage was done. She also highlighted that when people are not married, they have the option of leaving very easily.
Masaba further added that her mother was very, very conservative in that phase of life. She didn’t want her daughter to go through what she went through. She later accepted her mistake and she said she should have let her do what she wanted to do. Living together she could have figured things out. She even called herself a bad mother. Masaba also confessed that she got married because people around her were getting married and she just didn’t want to be left behind.
Masaba now lives with husband Satyadeep Mishra, they even acted in the show Masaba Masaba. They had a simple wedding, her father, the legendary cricketer Vivian Richards, had specially flown down to attend the celebrations. In fact Madhu Mantena also got married this year to Ira Dubey.
Masaba was last seen in Modern Love: Mumbai. She is now managing both her acting and fashion careers with equal ease.
