The beauty market is brimming with LED therapy gadgets designed to give your skincare a boost by delivering a youthful glow but PMD Beauty recently launched a device that cleanses and treats at the same time. The PMD Clean Redvolution declutters your bathroom cabinet by attaching LED panels to the back of their popular silicone brush head.
It merges the brand’s patented SonicGlow technology for deep cleansing with 19 medical-grade red LED lights to streamline your skincare routine. While most LED masks on the market are priced around £199 to £299, this FDA-cleared 2-in-1 device is available to purchase for £209 and beauty fans can get it from Harrods in store or online.
For those who are not familiar with red LED therapy, the wavelengths of the red light can reach further into the dermis to stimulate collagen production and repair any skin damage from within. It’s an effective and non-invasive way to achieve smooth and firm skin and skincare lovers who tried the device said they were “obsessed with the Clean Redvolution”.
“I love that it has a touch sensor because it only works when it touches your skin. It’s so easy to use and the sessions are done rather quickly, it’s essential for me especially when I’m travelling,” one user said and another added: “This has definitely become a huge part of my skincare routine, I can see my skin feeling and looking so much better. I am obsessed.”
The palm-size LED panel allows targeted treatment for customers to focus on areas they want but some people said it “takes longer time to finish a full-face treatment”. “You have to hover it over different sections on your face for every few minutes, it can be a bit tiring but it gives a focused treatment,” one mentioned.
The face mask version might be a better option for an overall face treatment, CurrentBody’s LED face mask, also known as the ‘Emily in Paris’ LED mask, gives a 10-minute treatment and it covers the forehead, around the eyes, cheeks and chin. It’s available for £299 but you can get it cheaper in a bundle along with an LED neck mask.
If you are looking for a mask with multiple LED lights to target acne or brighter complexion, Bondi Body’s LED mask offers four different LED lights and it’s been reduced from £249 to £199. But the PMD Redvolution’s sonic brushhead breaks down dirt and oil with 7,000 vibrations per minute. Using ultra-hygienic silicone, the device is odour-resistant, hypoallergenic, and waterproof – meaning the hassle-free brush head never needs replacing.
It comes with a travel case, a pair of safety goggles and a charging cable. An Amazon Vine shopper said: “The red light therapy side takes a while to fully do, but if you have the patience and time it can be very effective. It’s easy to do as well, I just lay in my bed and watch a show while doing it after cleaning my face.
“I’ve been doing it every day as of right now, but plan on doing it like three times a week soon. So far I’ve noticed some results from doing it such as tighter, firmer skin (some fine lines aren’t as noticeable), brighter and more even skin tone, redness has faded quite a bit, and my pores don’t look as large. So it definitely is doing something for my skin and I’m excited to see more results as I use it longer.”
