After endless spy shots of test mules of both the SUVs over the course of this year, Tata Motors has now finally announced the debut of the Tata Harrier and Safari facelifts, with bookings set to commence on October 6, 2023. The homegrown manufacturer has revealed two teasers on its social media handles – one for new Harrier and the other for the new Safari, revealing some fresh design details.
The Tata Harrier facelift‘s teaser revealed that the two SUVs would get a full-width LED DRL, similar to what is seen on the new Tata Nexon EV facelift. The trend of full-width LED DRL was seen on Mercedes-Benz cars such as the EQS, and now seems to be making its way to more mainstream models as well.
The second teaser reveals the new Tata Safari‘s front fascia, also featuring the end-to-end LED DRL setup, along with a new grille design, redesigned bumper, as well as new vertically stacked LED headlamps, also similar to what we’ve already seen on the new Nexon and Nexon EV. The teaser also hints at a new bronze paint scheme for the Safari, however, the same is yet to be confirmed.

No changes are expected to be made to the powertrain department. Both the Tata SUVs are available with an FCA-sourced 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel engine 168 hp of maximum power and 350 Nm of peak torque. Power is fed to the front wheels only through a 6-speed manual gearbox along with an optional 6-speed torque converter auto.
