New Tata Nexon waiting period: How long you need to wait to get the SUV

Tata Motors cars launched the much anticipated 2023 Tata Nexon to the Indian market recently. The price for the SUV starts from Rs 8.10 lakh and goes up to Rs 15.5 lakh (ex-showroom). The Tata Nexon is a successful SUV from the brand and has been in high demand ever since its launch. The bookings for the SUV started on 4th September and interested individuals can book the car by visiting their nearest dealership or by online.

As per our dealer sources, the top-of-the-line variants of the new Tata Nexon command a waiting period of 2 months from the date of booking. This means that if you book the Tata Nexon right now, it’s likely that you will get the delivery of your car by December 2023. Our dealer says that the majority of the bookings have been received for the sunroof variants. Talking about the Nexon EV, the maximum waiting for the Nexon EV facelift is around 35-40 days and most of the bookings received are for entry-level variants.

In recent news, the Tata Nexon also became India’s top-selling SUV in September 2023 by selling a total of 15,325 units in September 2023. The Nexon is also the highest-selling Tata Motors car after Tata Punch. The new Nexon is offered in Smart, Smart+, Smart+ S, Pure, Pure S, Creative, Creative+, Creative+ S, Fearless, Fearless S and Fearless+ S. The ‘+’ option gets additional features whereas the S denotes the addition of the sunroof in each variant.

In terms of dimensions, the new Nexon measures 3995 mm in length, 1804 mm in width, 1620 in height and has 2498 mm of wheelbase. The Punch is 3827 mm in length, 1742 mm in width, 1615 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2445 mm.

Talking about the features, the Tata Nexon facelift 10.25-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system, digital instrument cluster, connected car tech, 360-degree camera, a wireless charger, ventilated front seats, an air purifier, single pane sunroof, cruise control, automatic headlamps with wipers, touch-based panel for HVAC controls and more.

The Nexon is offered in two engine options – a 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel engine which puts out 115 hp of power and 260 Nm of torque and comes paired either with a 6-speed manual or an AMT gearbox. Another engine is the 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine which puts out 120 hp of power and 170 Nm of torque. The petrol engine gets four gearbox options – a 5-speed manual, 6-speed manual, AMT and a dual-clutch DCA automatic.
