Tata Motors is all set to launch the 2023 Nexon and Nexon EV facelift in the Indian market tomorrow, i.e. – September 14, 2023. The Indian car manufacturer has already commenced the bookings for the Nexon and Nexon EV facelifts at an initial amount of Rs 21,000. Here is everything you need to know about the upcoming Tata Nexon ahead of its launch.
2023 Tata Nexon, Nexon EV facelift: Exterior
The design of the Nexon and Nexon EV facelifts is inspired by the Tata Curvv concept. Both the cars have received a new split LED headlamp set-up with LED DRLs, a new set of alloy wheels, a large grille, a faux-silver skid plate and more. One of the distinctive features of the Nexon and Nexon EV facelifts is a full-width LED light bar running across the nose, similar to the Curvv concept. The LED bar also shows the charging status of the Nexon.ev. The side profile of the Nexon facelift and Nexon.ev facelift remains unchanged, except for the newly designed alloy wheels. The rear profile of the 2023 Tata Nexon and Nexon.ev gets connected LED tail-lamps, a body-colour finish bumper and a roof-mounted spoiler.

2023 Tata Nexon, Nexon EV facelift: Interior
Moving on to the interior, the dashboard design on the Tata Nexon and Nexon.ev facelifts is similar to its predecessor. Finished in carbon fibre and soft-touch materials, the 2023 Tata Nexon gets a rotary drive selector on the centre console. The list of features includes a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a customisable 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster with a navigation display, a two-spoke illuminated steering wheel, touch-based HVAC control with toggle switches, and more.
The top-end Nexon and Nexon.ev facelifts get connected car technology, ventilated front seats, a single-pane sunroof, a 360-degree camera, JBL sound system, Type-C fast charging ports, a wireless charger and OTA updates. Furthermore, the company is also offering a new Arcade.ev app suite with the 2023 Tata Nexon and Nexon.ev where customers can watch Disney+Hotstar, Amazon Prime Video, and more.
2023 Tata Nexon, Nexon EV facelift: Powertrain
Starting with the Tata Nexon facelift, it continues to be powered by a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. The petrol engine is available in a five-speed manual, a six-speed manual, a six-speed AMT and a new seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission option. While the diesel engine is solely offered with a six-speed gearbox.
The Tata Nexon.ev facelift is available in two variants – Medium Range (MR) and Long Range (LR). The MR trim generates a power of 129 hp and a torque of 215 Nm. The LR variant churns out 145 hp of power and 215 Nm of torque. The company claims that the Tata Nexon.ev facelift LR variant accelerates from 0-100 kmph in 8.9 seconds and offers a top speed of 150 kmph. It gets three drive modes, namely Eco, City and Sport.
Powering the Tata Nexon.ev MR is a 30 kWh battery, offering an ARAI-certified range of 325 km. Coming to the Tata Nexon.ev LR, it uses a larger 40.5 kWh battery, which provides an ARAI-certified range of 465 km.

As far as safety is concerned, the Tata Nexon and Nexon EV facelifts come equipped with six airbags, all-wheel disc brakes, hill descent and ascent control, ABS and ESC as standard, front parking sensors, blind view monitors, three-point seat belts for all seats, ISOFIX anchors, panic brake alert, and emergency and breakdown call assist. Furthermore, the brand claims that it has reinforced the body structure for improved side pole protection.
