TOKYO: North Korea has described the United States, Japan, and South Korea as “war-mad” following a meeting of the three countries’ military leaders in Tokyo and their subsequent signing of a memorandum on trilateral security cooperation.
The Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) published a commentary on Saturday describing the three countries as “hostile forces” for collaborating on a real-time missile warning information sharing system aimed at the North and vowing to carry out more joint military exercises.
“This kind of water cooler chat between war-mad people is a prelude to realizing a criminal plan to turn the trilateral military alliance into a nuclear alliance in the Asia-Pacific region in the near future,” the KCNA report stated, adding, “The US is rushing to integrate its own nuclear forces with South Korea’s conventional weapons and is frantically preparing for a nuclear war against our Republic.”
“The US also held a ministerial meeting with its stooge Japan on ‘extended deterrence,’ under which it would ‘defend’ Japan with all its military power, including US nuclear weapons, and made a de facto pledge to ‘share nuclear power’ with the war criminal country. The US’s ulterior motive remains the same: to bind its Korean and Japanese stooges even tighter to its nuclear chains and to achieve military dominance over the region.”
The North cited increased numbers of “anti-Republic joint military exercises” as evidence of “military collusion between master and lackey.” In part, it said, this was due to the “lame duck” presidency of Joe Biden, adding, “His Korean and Japanese stooges are also in a pitiful lame-duck situation, each facing their own worst governance crisis.”
The North noted the plummeting popularity of Japanese Prime Minister KISHIDA Fumio and “the number of people petitioning for the impeachment of puppet Yoon Seok-yool,” South Korea’s unpopular President. It said the three-country military agreement was to provide continuity even if one of the three parties changes administration.
The article concluded: “No matter what our enemies plan or what choices they make, it is our firm determination to thoroughly suppress and crush the growing reckless and provocative hostile acts of the United States and its lackeys. The ‘new era of tripartite cooperation’ to which the US, Japan and South Korea tout themselves will only result in hastening the timetable for their destruction.”
