(WJW) — The woman famous for giving birth to eight children at one time announced she is now a grandmother.
Nadya Suleman, known as “Octomom,” took to Instagram Monday to let the public know one of her children welcomed a new baby.
“Thank you my son and my lovely daughter in law for giving us this beautiful gift! We are so blessed that she is a new addition to our family,” she wrote. “Baby girl you are so very loved and we can’t wait to watch you grow!!”
Suleman, who, in her words, stepped away from the spotlight in 2013, revealed her grandchild was born Aug. 30.
The 49-year-old, who already had six kids before she gave birth to her octuplets in 2009, has 14 children. All of her children were conceived through in vitro fertilization.
It’s not exactly clear which of her 10 sons is the new father described in the social media post.
Just last month, Suleman also celebrated her son Joshua’s birthday, writing in an Instagram post: “I am so proud of the man you are becoming. You are smart, funny, hard-working, loyal, humble, and now a devoted husband and soon-to-be father,” she said.
