It is Radhika Merchant’s first evening as ‘Mrs Radhika Ambani’ and she decided to make it a day to remember. For the Shubh Ashirwad ceremony of the newly wed Anant and Radhika, the bride wore a stunning rani pink lehenga that is definitely one of the most unique pieces crafted for bridal coutures. She wore a custom Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla lehenga in collaboration with contemporary Indian artist and sculptor Jayasri Burman and Rhea Kapoor. The bespoke attire honours the union between the couple in real gold zardozi work and handpainted imagery.

Radhika Merchant is living every bride’s dream in exquisite pieces of art. For her Shubh Ashirwad ceremony, the newly wed bride’s  ensemble brought art and fashion together and how. Her rani pink lehenga embodies artist Jayasari Burman’s beautiful painting . “To bring Jayasri’s painting to life, the lehenga’s 12 panels are hand-painted on a special Italian canvas. Featuring Jayasri’s quintessential mythical aesthetic,” describes Rhea Kapoor.

This stunning piece of garment celebrates Anant and Radhika’s union that is metaphorised with the painting and deep imagery. The figures in the painting are a representation of  “happy couple radiate a celestial aura that honours the divinity in their humanity.” The flora and fauna here depict Anant Ambani’s passion and fondness’ towards animals and especially his love for elephants.

Radhika tied her hair in a single long braid that was adorned with really lotus flowers. Lotus is an auspicious flower that holds great value in the Hindu mythology. Goddess Lakshmi is seen holding a lotus in her hands and daughters are also regarded as the form of the goddess of wealth.

“The craftsmanship features meticulous hand embroidery of real gold Zardozi. A glittering sea of sequins shines over the most intricate spaces of Jayasri’s art. is paired with a blouse hand embroidered entirely in Resham by master craftsmen at Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla,” Rhea describes further.

The ensemble conveys the joy of new beginnings and the excitement of living with the love of your life.

Jayasri adds “Abu Sandeep are artists. The only difference is that their medium is couture while mine is canvas. Both Rhea and Abu Sandeep gave me total creative freedom and understood my essence as an artist. I found my brush dancing all over the canvas. My only hope now is that it inspires a smile on Radhika’s face and maybe someday, we’ll even see it hanging on her wall!”

The choti Ambani bahu sparkled bright with emerald and diamond encrusted necklace with matching earrings and mangtika. Mrs Ambani’s attire is a paitning brought to life in every sense. The intricate artistry simply astounding and boasts of the hub of talent that grows in India.
