Olivia Rodrigo announced dates for her world tour on Wednesday, Sept. 13, choosing to highlight her home state of California. The pop star is scheduled to open and close her tour in the Golden State, beginning with a set at the Acrisure Arena near Palm Springs (Feb. 23) and ending with two nights at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles (Aug. 13 and 14).
She’s also scheduled to make one stop in San Francisco at the Chase Center on Aug. 2.
Demand for the tour was so intense that Rodrigo’s website crashed in the minutes following the announcement, despite the fact that tickets have not gone on sale. As of 11 a.m. Pacific time, the website was back online.

The mass interest proves that, in terms of rabid pop star fame, Rodrigo is second only to mentor-turned-frenemy Taylor Swift. The former Disney star burst onto the music scene with the release of “drivers license” in early 2021 and has been a marquee name ever since. Her last visit to San Francisco was at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in 2022, a venue with less than half the capacity of Chase Center.
Palm Springs might seem like an odd choice for the “good 4 u” singer to begin her tour, but Rodrigo may feel most at home playing her first show in the desert city, as she was born in nearby Murrieta, California.
While tickets are not yet on sale, fans can pre-register for spots until Sunday, Sept. 17, at 7 p.m.
