Following a stop in Seoul, Paloma Wool’s fall 2023 “World Tour” continues with a pop-up in Lower Manhattan. The sustainable Spanish brand worn by Kendall Jenner, Dakota Johnson and Kaia Gerber has set up shop at 425 Broome Street.
“We don’t have any physical Paloma Wool stores anywhere in the world yet,” Paloma Wool’s founder, Paloma Lanna, told WWD. “It was natural to feel the need to make that happen, from getting to touch and feel our fabrics and trying on different sizing to experiencing the team in person and the spaces we create.”
This particular space evokes the brand’s minimalist aesthetic: behind frosted windows, plain white walls and slate gray floors let pieces from Paloma Wool’s fall 2023 collection take center stage. Clothes hang sparsely on racks with others draped upon wiry structures reminiscent of a modern art display. Plant-based nylon accessories sit upon a glass slab upheld by concrete blocks.
Paloma Wool has done New York pop-ups in the past — but Lanna hopes to set each location apart by creating unique realms each time.
“Reinventing the experience has been about playing with different locations and collaborating with different artists,” Lanna added. “The different experiences come hand in hand with each collection we present, too.”
Furniture and set designer Sati Leonne Faulks dreamed up the interior of Paloma Wool’s latest brick-and-mortar with help from Bailey Rose Brown, Coline Brune and Mark Malecki.
Paloma Wool will make its final stop this season in London, with specific dates and a location to be announced.
Paloma Wool’s New York pop-up is open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. through Nov. 26.
