A ground-breaking event on second-hand luxury and circular fashion is set to take place in Paris from November 15 to 17 at the Carrousel du Louvre. Originally launched in Geneva in 2022 by Fabienne Lupo, former president of the Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie, under the name ReLuxury, the event has rebranded this year as the Pre-Loved Luxury Show, and has partnered with luxury real estate specialist Barnes to expand its focus to high-end assets.

Over three days, the event will host around 60 exhibitors from France and other countries, showcasing a wide array of pre-owned luxury items, including watches, jewellery, fashion, leather goods and high-end services, providing a comprehensive view of the circular economy for the luxury sector. The event will feature well-known brands such as Chopard and Breitling, alongside auction houses like Drouot, resellers, and e-tailers like eBay, as well as start-ups adopting an innovative approach to circularity.

The show will feature workshops on repair, restoration, and upcycling, as well as some 15 conferences on various topics, including collecting second-hand watches, enhancing intangible heritage with AI, authenticating vintage items, and the climate challenges faced by luxury ski resorts.

The event aims to be a hub for debate and shared experiences, where visitors can discover, buy, learn, have items valued, and sell, while reflecting on the shift toward a more responsible luxury industry.

As organisers noted, “beyond the environmental impact, the transition to a circular economy could generate economic opportunities worth $4.5 billion (€4.17 billion) by 2030, yielding significant savings in materials costs and opening up new revenue streams.”
