As the first big awards show since the SAG-AFTRA strike—which halted many Hollywood goings-on, including awards and after-parties, for several months—the 2024 Golden Globes garnered quite a lot of buzz. But while all eyes were on the red carpet, the stage, and the winner’s room, Vogue Parties was naturally focused on the cocktail and dinner portion of the event. Unlike the Academy Awards or the Grammys, the Golden Globes welcome guests at the Beverly Hilton Hotel to sit down and have a bite (this year’s sushi dinner was created by Nobu Matsuhisa) and, best of all, to have a drink—or two. As with most years, bottles of Moët & Chandon, the official Champagne of the awards, were in abundant supply; Moët’s Toast for a Cause initiative also allows attendees to give back to a cause of their choice in a toast on the red carpet.
Between monologues (Jo Koy’s “Yo, I got this gig ten days ago, you want a perfect monologue?” summed it up!), and delightful winner acceptance speeches (like Succession’s Matthew Macfadyen’s “It was an honor to play the human grease stain that is Tom Wambsgans”) even juicier moments unfold. Timothée Chalamet can be seen PDAing with Kylie Jenner, Andrew Scott and Jonathan Bailey pose for photos in their twinning all-white looks, and Taylor Swift snap selfies with other Globes-goers.
