Santa Clara’s long-awaited location of Boichik Bagels is finally expected to open on Dec. 7, owner Emily Winston announced on Instagram.
Winston first announced her popular Berkeley bagel business would be opening a bagel shop at 2050 Wyatt Drive, Santa Clara, back in January. Since then, Winston opened an enormous new bagel factory on Berkeley’s Sixth Street in March as well as her first Marin County bagel shop in Larkspur in November.
The Santa Clara location was initially slated for a summer 2023 opening, but was delayed due to ongoing construction since it was a “full buildout,” Winston told SFGATE in October.

Santa Clara is not Boichik Bagels’ first foray into the South Bay — in late 2022, the critically acclaimed bagels arrived in Palo Alto. Boichik Bagels first opened in Berkeley in 2019, making quite a splash when the New York Times’ Tejal Rao called them “some of the finest New York-style bagels I’ve ever tasted.”
In a January interview, Winston told SFGATE that she chose the Santa Clara location both for its proximity to offices like Intel and its outdoor patio space. The shop will feature the same menu as other Boichik Bagel locations, supplied with dough from the Berkeley bagel plant and bagels baked fresh on site.
The Santa Clara location is scheduled to be open daily, 7 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
