New Delhi: Metro Train Services are striving to make travel easier and more comfortable. In this regard, the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has issued a statement according to which passengers on Namo Bharat trains can now rent power banks. The service has been launched at Sahibabad RRTS station and will soon expand to other stations.

Automated machines are being installed at RRTS stations for this service.

These power banks are equipped with three types of charging connectors: iPhone, micro USB, and USB-C. The rental options available are a basic plan for Rs 50 and an annual plan for Rs 1,199.

How To Rent Power Banks

Power banks are available for rent and can be used throughout your journey. They can be returned at any compatible machine across the NCR. This rental service caters to the growing need for mobile phone charging, providing a convenient option for travelers. Moreover, NCRTC is planning to set up electric vehicle charging stations at various points.

The power bank rental facility is accessible in the unpaid area of Sahibabad station, eliminating the need for a train ticket to avail the service. Users must download the “A3 Charge” mobile app, sign up with their phone number, and then use the app to find and engage with the closest power bank machine using a QR code.

Exchange Power Banks Daily

Users have the option to swap their power bank daily for a fully charged unit according to the rental plans. The A3 Charge app offers real-time updates on the availability of power banks and machine slots, facilitating a seamless experience.

“People can charge their mobile phones by renting a power bank from designated machines. Various rental plans are available, allowing you to choose the one that best suits your needs. Power bank machines have already been installed at many locations, and they will soon be fully operational at the designated sites,” the statement said.
