The 36th season of “The Amazing Race” is all set to premiere.
The hit reality series features teams of two who “embark on a trek around the world” in a quest to win the $1 million grand prize.
“At every destination, each team must compete in a series of challenges, some mental and some physical, and only when the tasks are completed will they learn of their next location,” the show’s synopsis reads. Teams that are the farthest behind will gradually be eliminated as the season progresses.
Season 36 will feature 13 teams of two who will start their journey in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, according to CBS.
This season will see the teams make stops in Argentina, Barbados, Colombia and Dominican Republic. In Barbados, the show will make a stop at singer-songwriter Rihanna’s childhood home as they navigate the tropical island for clues to advance in the race.
