Pune: Attention residents of Pune! The Pune Traffic Police has issued a traffic advisory for metro work, which will come into effect from May 4, that is, Saturday. The list of routes that will remain affected when the girder lathing works start near Simla Office Chowk in Shivaji Nagar area has been mentioned here in detail. Pune Traffic Advisory: List of Affected Routes
1. Veer Chaphekar Chowk to Shimla Office Route: The road from Veer Chaphekar Chowk towards Shimla Office (IMD) will be closed for all commuters during the ongoing metro work. Also, the traffic will be redirected via Na Ta Wadi – Sakhar Sankul – Shivajinagar Metro and Shimla Office Chowk.
2. JM Corner to Shivajinagar Station: The commuters travelling from JM Corner towards Shivajinagar Station will have to turn left at Shimla Office and then proceed via Na Ta Wadi towards the station, as per a report by Times Now.
3. Shivajinagar Station to Na Ta Wadi via ST Stand Route: This particular route will be closed for all commuters.
4. Veer Chaphekar Chowk: At Veer Chaphekar Chowk, commuter vehicles from FC Road won’t be allowed to turn right, as they will be asked to proceed straight towards Na Ta Wadi and turn right via Shivajinagar Metro Station if they want to reach Shimla Office Chowk.
3. Chaphekar Chowk to Na Ta Wadi: The route from Chaphekar Chowk to Na Ta Wadi will be one way during the affected dates .
6. Pune University from Shimla Office: The vehicles heading from Shimla Office towards Pune University will have to use the Agriculture Flyover (Chaphekar Chowk).
7. No-Parking Zone Enforcement: The entire stretch from Veer Chaphekar Chowk (Agriculture College—Masobha Gate) to Na Ta Wadi to Shimla Office (IMD) will be designated as a no-parking zone.
