Rachel Zegler and her boyfriend Josh Andrés Rivera are turning into a celebrity power couple, by which I mean they’ve starred in not one but two movies together. On top of both appearing in West Side Story (where they met/became best friends/fell in love), they are set to appear in The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes. And since a ton of cute red carpet pics are potentially coming our way (depending on if the studios get it together and give SAG-AFTRA a fair deal), it’s about time o’clock for a full history of Rachel and Josh’s relationship. Starting with when they met, naturally!

Fans start speculating Rachel and Josh might be dating based largely on this:
November 10, 2021
And everyone assumes this musing about West Side Story bringing Rachel her “best friend in the entire world” is a reference to Josh. Unless she’s besties with Steven Spielberg, in which case, never mind.

Annnnnnd the speculation continues!

Rachel makes it pretty obvious she’s with Josh during her end of year recap in 2021, writing in part, “‘Twas a weird year. cried a lot. laughed even more, though. felt great big love i have never felt before. so, all in all? pretty sick. 🤍 for context: (1) spending christmas eve with a man i have never met before, maybe you know him, he seems pretty cool— like he could be the love child of iron man and john wick, idk though.”

Rachel says Josh helps her stay grounded amid the spotlight, telling Elle, “There’s always this deep understanding of what I go through. Since [his experience was] on a different scale, he’s able to bring me back to earth and tell me when it really doesn’t matter. Because he’s removed from it to a certain degree, he’s able to just snap me out of it, and tell me to stop checking my phone, or remind me of what actually matters, and remind me to be present, and to not focus on the opinions of 3,000 faceless strangers on the internet.”

Rachel posts this ^ adorable moment, with the caption, “You are everything i love about this world wrapped into one incredible man. happy birthday, joshua. in this life, i like just doing laundry and taxes with you.”
