Rare photos of Nicole Kidman’s daughters stun as family returns to Australia

Keith Urban arrived in Sydney on Saturday, touching down from the US with daughters Sunday and Faith.

The following day the rock star was spotted picking up his wife, actress Nicole Kidman.

The photos captured at the airport were a rare glimpse of Sunday Rose, 15, and Faith Margaret, 12, both of whom live a relatively private life out of the public glare.

But it’s clear to see just how fast the duo are growing up.

Photos showed them keeping things casual in sweatshirts and track pants as they were escorted out of Sydney’s airport.

Meanwhile, their dad kept a low profile in all black, sporting a black cap, sunglasses and tracksuit.

Once again keeping a low profile in all-black, Urban held Kidman’s hand as they exited the airport on Sunday.

Later the same day, the couple was photographed taking their youngest daughter Faith to church in Sydney.

Kidman and Urban married in June 2006 in a romantic ceremony in the grounds of St Patrick’s College in Manly, Sydney.

The couple welcomed Sunday in 2008 before Faith was born in 2011 via surrogate.

Kidman has two adopted children, Isabella, 30, and Connor Cruise, 28, with her ex-husband, actor Tom Cruise.

The trip to Australia comes days after Urban was inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame on Wednesday.

The Grammy award-winning singer and songwriter posed proudly with his award – which has only been given to 235 other songwriters.

‘The one thing we don’t do’

In July Kidman surprised fans with a revelation about the “one thing” she and Urban “don’t do” in their relationship on Stellar’s Something To Talk About podcast.

Kidman revealed that “prioritising us” was important to the continued success of the relationship, adding that she asks “What’s going to benefit us? Will this decision that I make contribute to us?”

“What makes people vibe and be able to be together year after year?

“No-one has the secret. It’s so idiosyncratic. It’s pairing, it’s luck, there’s chemistry, of course, and then there’s just being able to flow together,” Kidman added.

“But I wouldn’t reveal how we sleep in the bed … It’s so not glamorous. It’s very serious business, is all I’ll say. And we never text each other, can you believe that?

“We started out that way – I was like, ‘If you want to get a hold of me, call me.’ I wasn’t really a texter.

“I think he tried texting me a few times and I never texted back. Then it was like, this is quite nice. If you really want to get a hold of me, you have to call me.

“Everyone else we text with. That’s just the one thing we don’t do.”

In an interview with Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show in 2021, the actress recalled one of the crooner’s early romantic gestures swept her off her feet.

“He sat on the stoop of my New York apartment,” she remembered.

“I came out 5am in the morning, and it was my birthday, and he had flowers, and that was it. I was a goner. I’m like, ‘Yes, I’ll marry you!’”

New York would later hold more special memories as Urban proposed to the Big Little Lies star on the Hudson river.

Despite necessary separations due to work commitments, in March Urban told Extra how he and Kidman make family life work.

“We do a lot of traveling in order to be home… so I’ll play and then I’ll fly her even if it’s getting in at 4am in the morning, I’m home,” the singer said.

“She’ll do the exact same thing. I think, you know, we’re fortunate to be able to travel like that but we also choose it because we want to be together.”
