Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has announced a significant investment by the Tata Group, which plans to establish a new IT Development Centre in Vizag, build up to 20 hotels, and launch a 5 GW solar and wind power project. This ambitious initiative, with an investment of Rs 40,000 crore, is expected to generate 10,000 jobs and boost both technological and economic development in the region. Additionally, a new task force will be set up to craft a strategic roadmap for the state’s growth, targeting milestones for 2030 and 2047, with a strong focus on infrastructure and innovation.
This major investment push by Tata Group was confirmed following a meeting between Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Tata Group Executive Chairman N Chandrasekaran. The collaboration includes setting up an IT hub in Vizag and expanding the hospitality sector with the construction of 20 new hotels, reinforcing Andhra Pradesh’s commitment to becoming a hub of technological and economic growth.
