A recall alert has been issued for two cheese products sold nationally at Woolworths and IGA supermarkets.
Snowbrand Australia Pty Ltd, which trades as Unicorn Cheese, is recalling its Unicorn Classic Camembert 125g and Community Co French Style Camembert 125g.
The recall is due to the cheese potentially being contaminated with listeria bacteria.

Those infected with the bacteria, called listeria monocytogenes, can develop an illness caused listeriosis.
According to Healthdirect, healthy people can develop listeriosis and not even know it, or they may develop symptoms similar to the flu or gastro.
However for people with a weakened immune system, pregnant women or those aged over 65, the illness can be much more severe and fatal in some cases.
The products have been available for sale at Woolworths in VIC, NSW, SA, Tasmania and at independent food retailers including IGA in Victoria and Queensland.
It has also been sold at Natures Best, V&C Food Distributors, Bill’s Cheese and Yoghurts in NSW and Our United Food Co in QLD.
The products have best before dates of November 8, 2023 and the batch number 123123E Est No 287.
Consumers should return the products to the place of purchase for a full refund.
