Clare Waight Keller has been in the news recently following her appointment as Uniqlo artistic director and now she’s making headlines again as the former Chloé designer collaborates with sustainable fashion brand Reformation.
The brand has unveiled its first-ever jewellery collection created in partnership with the British designer.
Reformation said the capsule draws inspiration from Ernest Hemingway’s Paris memoir ‘A Moveable Feast’ “and the city’s deep influence on American artists and writers throughout the 1920s. A fitting muse for the US-based brand as it looks to step into the French market formally in 2025”.
Alongside the jewellery capsule, Reformation is launching a ready-to-wear collection to complement it. This features a new material called Cycora, a molecularly regenerated polyester made from clothing that would otherwise end up as waste.
The vintage-inspired jewellery and apparel collections come with a campaign fronted by Ernest Hemingway’s great-granddaughter, the actress and model Dree Hemingway.
The imagery features an assortment of earrings, bracelets, and necklaces all made with certified recycled 24-karat gold vermeil, 925 sterling silver, and semi-precious deadstock stones like pearls and jade.
It’s all “intended to feel both heirloom-worthy and wearable today” and we’re told Waight Keller “took inspiration from the twinkle and magic of Paris with flecks of diamond, whilst black jade represents the midnight sky”.
The limited edition collection has just been made available for pre-order. Pieces retail from £168 to £898 and are available on Reformation’s webstore and in its physical stores.
