Reliance Jio launches new prepaid plans with unlimited 5G data, SonyLiv and Zee5 subscriptions

Reliance Jio has announced three new prepaid plans. These new plans come with one year of validity and offer unlimited calling, data as well as complimentary subscription to SonyLiv and Zee5. The plans add to Reliance Jio’s portfolio of long-term validity plans with OTT subscriptions and 5G data. Here are the details of the three new Reliance Jio plans:
Reliance Jio Rs 3662 plan: Includes both SonyLiv and Zee5
The prepaid plan comes with unlimited calling, 2.5GB daily data per day, unlimited 5G data and 100 SMS per day. The plan includes both SonyLiv and Zee5 subscriptions along with access to JioTV, JioCinema and JioCloud. And, it has a validity of 365 days.
Do note that once the allocated daily data quota, the speed is reduced to 64kbps in case of 4G networks.
Reliance Jio Rs 3226 plan: Includes SonyLiv
This is the second plan that Jio has announced today. The plan includes unlimited calling and 5G data along with 2GB daily 4G data quota and 100 SMS per day. Other benefits include JioTV, SonyLiv, JioCinema and JioCloud.
Do note that once the allocated daily data quota, the speed is reduced to 64kbps in case of 4G networks.
Reliance Jio Rs 3225 plan: Includes Zee5
The third plan which is priced just a rupee less than the previous plan comes with almost the same set of benefits such as unlimited calling and 5G data along with 2GB daily 4G data quota and 100 SMS per day. The only difference between the two plans is the OTT benefit they offer. This plan instead of SonyLiv offers a Zee5 subscription.
While all these three plans appear to offer a good value for money proposition to Jio users, there’s another plan that offers similar benefits as these three, but costs less. So, if you are are not interested in OTT benefits and still want an annual plan, the Rs 1,999 plan is a good option.
It comes with unlimited 5G data and calling. Along with these, it also offers 2.5GB daily 4G data and 100SMS per day. The plan does not come with any third-party OTT benefits, but it includes access to Jio apps and services.
