The Nifty 50 concluded with a 1.07% decline at 22,277.85, while the BSE Sensex closed with a 1.16% decline at 73,300.78
In the Nifty 50 top gainers included ONGC, Hindalco, Maruti Suzuki, Nestle India, and Britannia, while notable losers were Shriram Finance, Bajaj Finserv, Wipro, ICICI Bank, and Eicher Motors.

- TCS Stock: Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) announced a new delivery centre in Londrina, Paraná, Brazil. This new centre is likely to create more than 1,600 new jobs over the next five years.
- JSW Infrastructure Stock: JSW Infra re-appointed Arun Maheshwari as joint managing director and CEO of the company w.e.f. April 18, 2024.
- Crisil Stock: The company will announce its Q4 results on Tuesday.
- Sula Vineyards Stock: The company acquired ND Wines Private Limited and executed a share purchase agreement with the shareholders of ND Wines Private Limited on April 12, 2024.
- ONGC, RIL, Oil India, MRPL and Chennai Petro Stocks: The government has increased the windfall tax on crude oil to Rs 2800 per tonne.
- Gujarat Gas/ IOC Stock: The company entered into a non-binding agreement with Indian Oil Corporation for providing the latter’s alternate fuels at the outlets of Gujarat Gas.

- Vedanta Stock: The company has taken a loan of Rs 3900 crore from the PFC for a tenure of 11 years.
- Happy Forgings Stock: The company won a new order worth Rs 500 crore from the global manufacturer and it will make a supply of Rs 60-70 crore on an annual basis.
- VST Industries Stock: Veteran investor RK Damani bought 2.33 lakh or 1.5 per cent shares at an average price of Rs 3689.96 per share. Whereas HDFC Mutual Fund, sold 3.3 lakh or 2.1 per cent shares at Rs 3690 per share.
- Marksans Pharma Stock: Massachusetts Institute bought 66 lakh shares at Rs 158 per share.
- Aditya Birla Capital Stock: The company is likely to make a big announcement today at 11:45 am in the presence of the Group chairman Kumar Mangalam Birla and CEO Vishakha Mulye.
- Bharti Hexacom Stock: Brokerage firm Jefferies initiated its view with a buy and target of Rs 1080 per share.
- Varun Beverages Stock: Morgan Stanley gave an overweight rating with target price of Rs 1701.
