That doesn’t mean the superstar isn’t in a sporty mood, though. Yesterday in New York City, the singer and beauty mogul was spotted at Yankee Stadium taking in the AC Milan vs. Manchester City soccer game. And, of course, she had to bring a perfectly on-point outfit for the affair. Call it high-fashion sporty style.
The star’s winning approach to an athletic-inspired look is all in the details. Her sports jersey, for one, is not an average team shirt, but rather a more fashion-minded version by Loewe, complete with varsity stripe sleeves. She paired it with a Miu Miu mini skirt. (Few can pull of a jersey and mini quite like her). To further flex, Rihanna wore a pair of sneakers that she designed (no big deal)—a punchy red pair of Fenty x Puma kicks. And it wouldn’t be a classic Rihanna look without some luxe accessories; cue her Bottega Veneta bag and diamond necklaces.
The finished ensemble was the perfect outfit to take in a sports match—and to take pictures in from her private VIP box. That’s one of the best parts of a sporting event, no? That, and the hot dogs and pretzels.
