Rishabh Pant BANGS His Bat in Frustration After Dismissal During RR vs DC IPL 2024 Match

But what caught the attention was Pant venting out his anger when he was going back to the dugout.

Rishabh Pant, IPL 2024

Jaipur: Spotlight was on Delhi Capitals captain when he walked out to bat against Rajasthan Royals at the Sawai Mansingh stadium on Thursday during the IPL 2024 match. Pant came into bat at a very critical point of the game with the Royals chasing 186 to win. The DC captain got a start and just when it seemed he had got his eye in, he perished for 28 off 26 balls. Yuzvendra Chahal picked up the wicket as Sanju Samson collected the nick of Pant. But what caught the attention was Pant venting out his anger when he was going back to the dugout. He realised the importance of his wicket at that stage. He banged the bat against the wall.

Here is the viral clip:

“Definitely disappointed. Best thing we can do from this is learn from it. The bowlers did really well till 15-16 overs, batters sometimes go on at the death and score quickly, that happened in this game. Marsh and Warner gave a good start, but we lost a few wickets in the middle overs and in the end we had too many runs to cover up. There are other options, we wanted Nortje to bowl at the death and sometimes you can go for runs, hopefully we can do better in the next match,” Pant said at the post-match presentation after losing the match by 12 runs.
