Robert Talbott names new SVP of brand development

American luxury lifestyle brand Robert Talbott has announced the appointment of James Watson to the role of senior vice president of brand development.

With over two decades of experience in multi-channel retailing and luxury brand positioning, Watson’s leadership is expected to solidify the Californian menswear brand’s position, with his strategic vision and commitment to innovation playing a crucial role in the brand’s ongoing evolution, according to a press release.

“James Watson’s appointment marks a significant milestone in our vision for Robert Talbott’s future,” said Alex Angelchik, managing director of Newtimes Group, which acquired Robert Talbott in 2022, with the goal of relaunching the business by updating its designs along with the recruiting of an experienced executive team.

“His exceptional experience in sales and luxury brand development rounds out our executive team and perfectly
positions us to elevate the Robert Talbott legacy while meeting the sophisticated needs of today’s customer.”

Earlier this year, Robert Talbott announced the appointment of Sebastian Dollinger as its creative director in May, marking a new chapter of growth and innovation for the brand.
