Roberto Cavalli, LeSportsac Launch Collaboration at Dubai Fashion Week

JOINING FORCES: Roberto Cavalli and LeSportsac have forged ties for a four-season collaboration, debuting this week during Dubai Fashion Week. The Italian fashion house is a guest of the event and will stage a runway show on Friday.

The new partnership — part of LeSportsac’s 50th anniversary celebrations — is aimed at offering accessories that mix design and functionality by combining Roberto Cavalli’s bold ethos and signature flair for animal prints with the American label’s renowned expertise in versatile and lightweight handbags. 

“This collaboration with LeSportsac is a celebration of our shared passion for innovation and craftsmanship,” said Roberto Cavalli’s chief executive officer Sergio Azzolari. “By merging our distinct yet complementary styles, we are crafting a collection that is both timeless and modern, perfect for today’s discerning fashion lover. We look forward to presenting this unique fusion of Italian luxury and American style.”

LeSportsac’s chief operating officer Thomas Becker underscored that the companies “are two iconic brands with rich histories, each known for their distinct and influential styles and unexpected forward-thinking innovation,” and that the partnership “honors our heritages by reimagining them for today’s consumer.”

To be launched worldwide in spring 2025, the first LeSportsac x Roberto Cavalli collection will follow in the footsteps of other tie-ups the accessories label has forged through the years and that have contributed to its global recognition since its foundation in 1974. These have included projects with Jonathan Adler in 2001, Diane von Furstenberg in 2002 and Stella McCartney in 2008 as well as following collaborations with the likes of Liberty of London, Swarovski, Olympia Le-Tan, Disney, Pixar, Nintendo, Barbie and Hello Kitty, among others.

Most recently, the brand opened a combined creative studio, design headquarters and flagship in SoHo in 2022.
