ICYMI, Sabrina Carpenter has officially embarked on her Short ‘N Sweet tour and it’s just as adorable as you may have imagined—and that includes her glam, of course. Carpenter has completed the first two stops of her itinerary in her signature fluffed-up blonde curls, curtain bangs, and flushed cheeks, but there was a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it surprise hidden in her look and I haven’t stopped thinking about it since I saw it.
While you might expect Carpenter to go all-out with her nails for the shows, she flipped the script and kept things pretty simple for the initial shows, skipping long extensions in favor of a short length and naked nail with a subtle pearly glaze over the top. But there on her ring finger was the aforementioned hidden delight: a bright red lip print, similar to the one she wears on the album cover and one that almost exactly matches the sequined lip print on her pink and red bodysuit. OK, details!
Carpenter’s nails were created by celebrity manicurist Zola Ganzorigt, who told Allure she used a decal for the lip print but that it could easily be hand-painted too. With so many tour stops in a short time, a neutral mani with a little “zing!” like this makes a lot of sense; Carpenter probably won’t have a ton of time to do her nails between shows. But the mani wasn’t the only cheeky detail that captured our hearts; you can’t miss the “Taste Me” faux-tattoo on her leg, which also appears to have a lip print nestled next to it. It’s the cutest way to incorporate an element of your signature style from head to toe, literally.
Carpenter is always in a great lip, so her love of the lipstick print makes sense. Though she dabbles in red, Carpenter typically wears a rosy brown lip onstage and in her music videos. If you snagged Short ‘N Sweet tour tickets or just want to channel the pop star while listening to “Taste” and “Bed Chem” for the 1000th time, try Prada’s Monochrome Soft Matte Lipstick in Tonka, which she wears in the music video. Pucker up!
