‘Salmon sperm facial made my skin glow – some say it’s grim’

The beauty world is a treasure trove of peculiar and intriguing treatments. From vampire facials to gemstone massages, the list is endless, with new bizarre trends popping up every week.

However, one woman’s fishy skincare routine has left some beauty enthusiasts baffled and questioning the lengths people will go for glowing skin.

Instagram and TikTok user @wendyskin was “shaking” before undergoing her procedure but “walked out regretting nothing at all”. So, what did she do to achieve that enviable glow?

Wendy had salmon sperm injected into her face.

She told her followers: “Do not get salmon DNA injected into your skin unless you want glowy skin 24/7 and tons of compliments on your face.”

Wendy revealed she visited her regular Botox practitioner to try the “very viral Korean skin treatment” that “basically injects salmon’s little swimmers” into your face.

While admitting it “sounds so weird”, she insisted there was “tons of research on it”, claiming it’s been shown to “improve hydration and cell renewal”. Wendy explained the procedure can be done using a syringe, but her practitioner uses a tool with nine needles – ensuring the reproductive fluids are evenly distributed across the face.

She assured “it did not hurt one bit because of the numbing cream”, but cautioned that everyone’s skin “reacts differently”. Wendy noticed her skin glowing that very night, while her partner’s turned “so red” before improving.

She described their skin as looking “juicy and plump”, and said they both got “so many compliments” after the treatment had been done. Wendy then showed clips of her product-free skin looking dewy and glowing.

Some branded the unusual treatment “disgusting” while one demanded: “What ‘tons of’ research? I want articles written by dermatologists with degrees.”

Another was clearly incensed: “B***h stop putting random s**t on ur face.”
