Sam Womack, two linemen activated ahead of 49ers’ game at Seahawks

SEATTLE — Although left guard Aaron Banks returns today from a two-game hiatus, the 49ers will be without right guard Spencer Burford for the first time this season.

Both guards were listed as questionable by the 49ers (7-3) for this annual visit to the Seahawks (6-4). Burford did not practice this week because of a knee injury after Sunday’s 27-14 win over the Bucs. Banks, who’s battled a hyperextended toe, returned to practice in limited fashion Tuesday.

Jon Feliciano, who started in Banks’ place the past two wins, figures to start in Burford’s spot on the right side. Earlier Thursday, the 49ers elevated guard Jesse Davis and center Corey Luciano off the practice squad.

Also out for the 49ers: running back Ty Davis-Price, linebacker Jalen Graham, defensive tackle Kalia Davis, tight end Brayden Willis, offensive lineman Ben Bartch and emergency No. 3 quarterback Brandon Allen.

WOMACK ACTIVATED

Cornerback Sam Womack got activated off the 49ers’ Injured Reserve list today, making his special-teams prowess available for their 5:20 p.m. kickoff at the Seahawks.

Womack has been out since the season opener with a knee injury. In a corresponding roster move, the 49ers waived cornerback Shemar Jean-Charles, who sustained a shoulder injury in Sunday’s 27-14 win over the Tampa Bay Bucs.

A fifth-round draft pick last year, Womack is a defensive option off the bench, including at nickel back, but he’s especially excelled on their special teams units.
