Savile Row gears up for latest Concours event this month

It’s back! Concours on Savile Row returns for its third year in the heart of Mayfair across 22-23 May. The event will again combine the two worlds of tailoring and cars “in a truly unique way” with innovative partnerships “highlighting the bespoke craftsmanship of both industries”.

It will include free panel talks and events taking place at tailoring houses on Savile Row and at the Royal Academy of Arts.

For the occasion, Savile Row will be lined with a red carpet showcasing exceptional and rare motors, with partnerships with tailors including: Cad & The Dandy with Touring Superleggera; Cremieux with Alpine; Dege & Skinner with Morgan; Edward Sexton with Callum Design; Gieves & Hawkes with Everrati; Henry Poole & Co with Mercedes-Benz; Holland & Sherry with Austin Pedal Cars; JP Hackett with Formula E; Richard James partnering with Audi; and Scabal with Jensen International Automotive. The organisers said more partnerships will be revealed in the run-up to the event.

Other collaborations and events will also include Huntsman and Hagerty presenting a never-before-seen exhibition from the private suit collection of the late Rolling Stones drummer Charlie Watts. The display will include Huntsman tailoring alongside his 1937 Lagonda LG45 Rapide along with a related panel discussion.

Norton & Sons will also showcasing PPE101 (a Jaguar XK120) alongside a racing kit designed and made for the car’s participation in the Mille Miglia 2024.

Jenny Casebourne, Head of Portfolio at East Mayfair property group The Pollen Estate, said: “The event is a fantastic opportunity for visitors to go inside the tailoring houses and meet the individual tailors, as well as experience the expertise and craft behind a bespoke suit first-hand. Concours on Savile Row is a great addition to London’s events calendar and will showcase the very best of British tailoring to a global audience.”
