NEET UG 2024 Result Discrepancies LIVE Updates: The Supreme Court(SC) will on Tuesday hear a petition seeking to cancel the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test – Undergraduate (NEET-UG) examination over an alleged paper leak. The NEET UG 2024 matter will be heard by a vacation bench comprising Justices Vikram Nath and Sandeep Mehta. Social and Political Activist Dr Vivek Pandey took to his social media account and wrote, “Our petition seeking to cancel the NEET-UG 2024 exam over alleged paper leak, Listed for tomorrow. A vacation bench comprising Justices Vikram Nath and Sandeep Mehta will hear the matter. Hope for the best.”

The issue is brought to the attention amidst allegations of inflated marks, resulting in 67 candidates sharing the top rank in the examination. Amid allegations of inflation of marks in the NEET-UG medical entrance exam, the National Testing Agency (NTA) on Saturday set up a committee to review the grace marks awarded to NEET UG 2024 candidates.

The Ministry of Education established a committee to review the grace marks awarded to over 1,500 candidates. Several candidates alleged that the inflation of marks has resulted in 67 candidates securing the top rank, including six from the same exam centre in Haryana. “A high-powered committee has been set up to review the results of over 1,500 candidates. The four-member panel headed by a former UPSC chairman will submit its recommendations within a week and the results of these candidates might be revised,” NTA Director General Subodh Kumar Singh said at a press conference.
