SeaLife Introduces Sea Dragon Duo 10K+ Color Boost™ Underwater Photo-Video Light Set
MOORESTOWN, NJ – SeaLife has introduced their new Sea Dragon 10K+ Color Boost™ Photo-Video Light Set, based on two Sea Dragon 5000+ lights mounted on the New Ultra Dual Tray. The light set’s revolutionary Color Boost feature enhances colors underwater.
The 5000+ lights offer a 90 CRI (color rendering index) with a proprietary LED array that closely simulates natural sunlight (A CRI of 100 would be just like outdoor daylight). Most other LED lights offer a much lower CRI, missing critical colors necessary to produce natural and colorful still images and videos. The Sea Dragon 5000+, with their unique Bridgelux Gen 8 V18 COB LED, not only offer a high CRI, but they also function to blend white light with the lights’ red LEDs to boost underwater colors over eight brightness and color settings.
Sea Dragon Duo 10K+ Set
The Sea Dragon 5000+ Photo-Video Lights deliver over 5000 lumens in an even 120° wide beam. Side-by-side they offer even more complete coverage of any subject at nearly any shooting angle. The lights can illuminate to 6000 lumens each for a 2-minute time period, to save power.
SeaLife’s unique Color Boost™ feature allows the underwater photographer to fine-tune the color temperature for the subjects or conditions. The Sea Dragon 5000+ offers four color temperature settings from 5000K (Kelvin) to 2700K.
The lights have an “Easy” mode with 5 color and brightness settings: 5000 lumens → 5000 lumens + Color Boost → 3000 lumens → 1500 lumens → Red only, and an “Advanced” mode with 8 settings: 5000 lumens → 5000 lumens + Color Boost → 6000 lumens → 6000 lumens + Color Boost → 3000 lumens → 3000 lumens + Color Boost → 1500 lumens → Red only
The red LEDs alone are a perfect way to navigate in darkness without frightening skittish fish or sea animals with the brighter imaging lights.
The Sea Dragon 10K+ Color Boost™ dual light set is ideal for underwater videographers, the lights also offer impressive still image results and can be used as a primary source of light for photos.
The set includes two Sea Dragon 5000+ Color Boost light heads connected to two Flex-Connect™ YS Mounts, which connect to the included two grips on a Flex-Connect Ultra Dual Tray. The new Ultra DualTray fits larger cameras and housings, including SeaLife’s new SportDiver Ultra.
The pair of Sea Dragon 5000+ Color Boost lights’ impressive performance is due their powerful 50W Li-ion rechargeable battery packs that run the lights for 60 minutes at 5000 lumens in the Color Boost™ mode. The lights also include two battery chargers, along with US and three international plug adapters and a large protective travel case (SL944 Duo case) that holds the entire system including a camera. A GoPro camera adapter is also included.
