The Nifty Midcap100 and Smallcap100 settled 2.43 per cent and 2.51 per cent, respectively.
Sensex closed 539.50 points or 0.75 per cent higher and settled at 72,641.19. The NSE Nifty traded with a positive bias and closed with gains of 172.85 points or 0.79 per cent i.e. settled at 22,011.95.
The Nifty Bank Comprises of 12 banking stocks, rose by 374 points or 0.81 per cent to finish at 46,684.90.

Top Gainers On Stock Market
On The Sensex NPTC, Power Grid, Tata Steel, IndusInd Bank, Tata Motors, JSW Steel, Tech Mahindra, UltraTech Cement and L&T were the biggest gainers.
From Nifty50 NTPC, BPCL, Power Grid, Tata Steel and Coal India rose more than 3 per cent each, IndusInd Bank, Tata Motors, Cipla, Hindalco, JSW Steel and Grasim Industries were the top performers.
Top Losers On Stock Market
On the other hand, Airtel, HDFC Life, Maruti, ICICI Bank and ONGC were among the losers. Airtel, Maruti and ICICI Bank were the laggards.

Sensex Opened in the green territory at 72,600 almost rose by nearly 500 points or approximately 0.7 per cent. The Nifty50 index opened in the green around 22,000, up by nearly 175 points or 0.77 per cent
The Bank Nifty index opened in the green at 46,674.85, all sectors of the Bank Nifty index are trading in the green.
