Two Bay Area food landmarks are in the running for best marketplace in America.

“We are proud that the unique marketplace we have curated has once again been nominated as one of the best public markets,” Jane Connors, the Ferry Building Marketplace general manager, told SFGATE via email. “… Featuring more than 50 merchants who reflect the rich diversity, artisanal talent and incomparable quality of food in San Francisco, the Ferry Building has something for everyone, and is a unique destination for cuisine, culture and community.”

The Oxbow Public Market in Napa has been nominated by USA Today as one of the best public markets in the nation.

Oxbow Market, meanwhile, has long been a popular eating destination for Napa locals and visitors in Wine Country. It features beloved restaurants like Gott’s Roadside and Fieldwork Brewing, as well as its own location of Bay Area institution Hog Island Oyster Co.

Voting for the best public markets is open through April 15. Winners are slated to be announced April 24.
