Shah Rukh Khan has unleashed a monster at the box office and no record seems out of reach for his upcoming release ‘Jawan’. The advance booking, which opened in India only a few days ago, is already huge and in the United States as well the story is no different. With two more days to go for the release, the numbers coming in suggest that Jawan will own the record of the highest opening Hindi film there.
As per reports, where makers were aiming to get at least 1000 shows for the opening day, they have surpassed that number to get 2193 shows in 551 locations. ‘Jawan’ has managed to sell over 33000 tickets and it has made nearly $503337 ( Rs 4,10,00000) and the number is going to jump even higher as the release day nears.
ETimes was the first to report that the advance booking for the film has opened a month in advance in America and the film will be available in 2D, XD and IMAX format across Hindi, Tamil and Telugu languages. We were also the first to report how advance booking has opened in the United Arab Emirates both locations are considered to be the stronghold of Shah Rukh Khan.King Khan was also recently in Dubai to launch the trailer of the film at the famous Burj Khalifa where he also launched the Arabic version of the song Chaleya.
The makers of Jawan have also released the jukebox of the entire album on Tuesday night to give its viewers a glimpse into the movie. During his last interactive session on X ( formerly Twitter) one user posed an intriguing question, inquiring whether the impressive numbers in advance bookings for ‘Jawan’ were the result of corporate bookings. Shah Rukh Khan’s response to this query was witty. The ‘Jawan’ actor wrote, “Yeh social media waali ghatia baatein mat karo yaar. Have positive thoughts and good feelings for all. Better for life #Jawan”
The film also stars Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Deepika Padukone in a cameo, Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, Sunil Grover and many more. Directed by Atlee, ‘Jawan’ has music composed by Aniruddh.
