Shares of Nandan Denim gained over 7 per cent on Wednesday as the company’s profit in the first quarter jumped manyfold. The scrip opened flat and went on to hit a high of Rs 50.27 – a gain of around 7.44 per cent from the previous close.
The company’s standalone net profit stood at Rs 7.49 crore in the June quarter as compared to Rs 1.70 crore in the same quarter an year ago. The revenue from operations surged by over 30 per cent year-on-year (YoY) basis to Rs 721 crore. This was Rs 553 crore in June qurter of the previous fiscal.

The company reported a net profit of Rs 44.97 crore in the quarter ending March 31, 2024 as against Rs 0.53 crore during the previous year ended March 2023. However, the sales declined to Rs 2010.09 crore in the fourth quarter of FY24 as against Rs 2026.76 crore during the previous year ended March 2023.
