An alarming study published by The European Community Respiratory Health Survey raises serious concerns about the impact of cleaning on lung health.
The study found both occupational and household cleaning were linked to accelerated declines in lung function, particularly among women, with the effect comparable to smoking 10-20 cigarettes a day.
