It comes after the 29-year-old declared they were “lucky to be alive” in June, sharing her secret battle with the autoimmune disease lupus.

“Long story short, I’m lucky to be alive. Short story long, I wrote an album,” she said at the time.

“It begins with The End. Out now.” she said before tagging the US Lupus Research Alliance and Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

Lupus is an autoimmune disease that occurs when your body’s immune system attacks your own tissues and organs, causing inflammation.

According to the National Institutes of Health, seizures associated with lupus “occur in 9 to 58 per cent of patients in reported series, often early in the disease course”.

Some of the lyrics in The End describe her medical struggles.

“Every couple of years now, a doctor says I’m sick. Pulls out a brand-new bag of tricks,” she sings.

“And then they lay it on me. And at first, it was my brain, then a skeleton in pain. And I don’t like to complain, but I’m saying sorry.”

Halsey ends the song: “And I know it’s not the end of the world, but could you pick me up at eight?”

“Cause my treatment starts today.”

Throughout her career she has been open about her various health struggles, being diagnosed with endometriosis in 2016 and having a miscarriage.

Along with lupus, she was also diagnosed with a rare T-cell lymphoproliferative disorder.
