The men are accused of stealing more than $3000 in cash, as well as a designer handbag, electronic devices, and tools.

But the callous thieves hit an all-time low when they turned their attention to The Formal Project charity shop in Minto.

The store is a community-run charity shop, which offers free clothing for disadvantaged children and families.

Incredible CCTV vision from the store shows the thieves breaking into the store, and frantically searching through drawers, presumably for cash.

However, the pair left empty-handed, before setting their sights on a nearby café .

Samantha Oakes from The Formal Project told 7NEWS she was horrified by the cruel act.

“They targeted the community … that’s what they did,” she said.

“But … they didn’t take anything from us … nothing.

“Not our respect, not our dignity, not our drive.”

The thieves also allegedly stole thousands of dollars in cash from a Mexican restaurant in Minto, leaving behind a trail of destruction.

“All the locks are damaged … and my till is damaged,” At Mex owner Shafik Sheikh told 7NEWS.

“I feel really feel bad because … this is the shopping centre … it’s supposed to be a secure place, where we do business.”

Police are appealing for information.

“Officers attached to Campbelltown City Police Area Command have commenced an investigation after several businesses in Sydney’s southwest were broken into,” NSW Police said.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
